General Requirements for All Visa Types | - The visa can be applied for in person or via a representative.
- All documents must be provided in English.
- Separate application forms are required for children listed on a parent’s passport.
- Original documents should be submitted, but photocopies may also be requested.
- The Greek Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents or invite the applicant for an interview if necessary.
- If the visa is denied, the reason will be specified in the refusal form.
- No further details will be disclosed to the applicant.
- Visa and service fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Head coverings are allowed only for religious purposes, but facial features from the bottom of the chin to the forehead and the edges of the face must remain visible.
- Photographs must adhere to ICAO standards.

Tourist Visa – Short Stay | - Original passport and copy of previous Schengen visas. For new passports, the old passport is also required.
- 2 recent color photographs 3.5 cm×4 cm.
- Visa application completed in English and signed (name should be written as in passport).
- Passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of visa issuance.
- Copy of Kuwait Residence Permit for Non-Kuwaiti.
- Civil ID copy for GCC citizens.
- Kuwait residency should be valid for at least 6 months for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens.
- Salary certificate and authorized signature which is registered in Chamber of Commerce – Please attach copy of “Eatemad Tawkiea”.
- Original & copy of the work permit from the Ministry of Labour of Kuwait for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens.
- Bank statement for the last 6 months with present balance. If acquired through the internet, issuing bank stamp is required.
- International medical travel insurance for the duration of the trip covered not less than 30,000 Euro.

Business Visa – Short Stay | - Original passport with a copy of previous Schengen visas. New passports require submission of the old passport as well.
- Passport validity must extend at least 6 months from the visa issuance date.
- Two recent color photographs sized 3.5 cm × 4 cm.
- Completed visa application in English, signed with the name matching the passport.
- Kuwait Residence Permit copy for non-Kuwaiti applicants.
- Civil ID copy for GCC nationals.
- Residency validity of at least 6 months for non-Kuwaiti and GCC applicants.
- Salary certificate with an authorized signature registered in the Chamber of Commerce, stating the salary, position, and employment duration. Attach a copy of “Eatemad Tawkiea.”
- Work permit (original and copy) from the Ministry of Labour in Kuwait for non-Kuwaiti and GCC applicants.
- International medical travel insurance with coverage of no less than 30,000 Euros for the trip’s duration.
- Flight tickets and hotel reservations for Greece and other Schengen destinations, including proof of payment if requested.
- Host company documents, including an invitation letter with detailed information about the business invitation.
- Sponsorship/confirmation letter from the applicant’s company in Kuwait.
- Salary bank account statements for the last 6 months, showing sufficient balance for non-Kuwaiti and GCC applicants. Statements must be stamped by the issuing bank if obtained online.

Visiting Family and Friends Visa – Short Stay | - Original passport and copies of main pages, including personal information, residence, and Schengen visas. For new passports, the old passport must also be submitted.
- Two recent passport-sized photos of high quality with a white background.
- Visa application form completed in English and signed, with the name matching the passport.
- Passport validity must be at least 6 months from the visa issuance date.
- Kuwait residency requirement: Applicants must have a valid residence permit of at least 6 months (for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens).
- Salary certificate with an authorized signature registered in the Chamber of Commerce.
- Work permit (original and copy) from the Ministry of Labour of Kuwait for non-Kuwaiti and GCC nationals.
- Bank statements for the past 6 months, showing the current balance.
- International medical travel insurance with coverage of no less than 30,000 Euros for the trip duration.
- Proof of kinship and dependency (where applicable):
- Marriage certificate for spouses.
- Birth certificate for children or parents.

Medical Treatment Visa – Short Stay | - Submit the original and a copy of the main passport pages (personal info, residence, and Schengen visas). For new passports, the old passport must also be provided.
- Two recent colored passport-size photos with a white background.
- Complete and sign the visa application form in English, ensuring the name matches the passport.
- The passport must be valid for at least six months from the visa issuance date.
- Applicants must have a valid residence in Kuwait for at least six months for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens.
- Salary certificate signed and certified, registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
- Provide the original and a copy of the work permit issued by the Ministry of Labour in Kuwait for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens.
- Bank statement for the last six months showing the current balance.
- International medical insurance covering the trip with a minimum of €30,000.
- Confirmed flight ticket and hotel bookings, with all details provided.
- Medical report issued by the treating doctor in Kuwait.
- Written confirmation of an appointment with the doctor in charge of treatment in Greece.
- For accompanying persons: provide confirmed hotel bookings with the full address, including name, street, building number, city, and postal code.

Housemaid Visa – Short Stay | - Provide the original passport and a copy of previous Schengen visas. For new passports, the old passport must also be submitted. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the visa issuance date.
- Submit two high-quality colored passport-size photos with a white background.
- Complete and sign the visa application form in English, ensuring the name matches the passport.
- Include a copy of the Kuwait residence permit and civil ID.
- Applicants must be residents of Kuwait with a valid residence of at least six months for non-Kuwaiti and GCC citizens.
- Non-Kuwaiti nationals must provide a Sponsor’s Guarantee Letter stating the purpose of travel, salary, and employment start date with the same sponsor in Kuwait. Attach a copy of the sponsor’s passport and civil ID. The applicant must have worked with the sponsor for at least three years.
- Submit the sponsor’s bank statement for the last six months showing the current balance. If obtained online, the statement must be stamped by the issuing bank.
- Provide a copy of the employment contract.
- Obtain international medical travel insurance covering the trip with a minimum of €30,000.
- Submit confirmed flight tickets and hotel bookings.

Transit Visa | - A fully completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent color photographs, size 3.5 cm × 4 cm.
- Original passport along with copies of previous Schengen visas. The passport must have at least 6 months validity from the travel date and contain a minimum of two blank pages.

- A copy of the Kuwait residence permit for non-Kuwaitis.

- A valid entry visa for the final destination country.
- Proof of travel arrangements, such as a confirmed airplane ticket or booking.

Seamen Transit Visa | - A fully completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent color photographs, size 3.5 cm × 4 cm.
- Original international passport with photocopies of all pages containing information.
- The passport must remain valid for at least three months after the visa’s validity period and have a minimum of two blank pages.
- Photocopies of the old passport are required if applying with a new passport.
- Internal passport and photocopies of pages containing information.
- A valid entry visa for the final destination country.
- Proof of travel arrangements, such as a confirmed airplane ticket or booking.
- This visa is strictly for airport transit and is not valid for entry into any other Schengen country.
