There are 8 public holidays that all employees in Kuwait are entitled to, which are: New Year’s Day, Prophet’s Birthday Holiday, National Day Holiday, Liberation Day Holiday, Islamic New Year Holiday, Isra and Miraj Holiday, Eid al-Fitr Holiday, and Eid al-Adha Holiday.<\/p>\n

Weekly holiday in Kuwait<\/h2>\n

A private sector employee is entitled to only one day off per week, which is Friday of every week according to the current labor law, while a public sector employee is entitled to two days off per week, which is Friday and Saturday according to the civil service laws, which means that the weekend is different between the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n
